Privacy policy

The short version

We collect almost nothing and we don't follow you around the web. We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic; Google may set its own cookies for that.

Site analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which use cases people find useful. When you visit, Google Analytics counts pageviews, approximate location (city-level), the referring site, and device type, per Google's privacy policy. Google may set cookies (such as _ga) to do this.

Before September 24, 2026 we ran our own simple, cookieless counter instead. Its historical aggregate counts are still shown on an unlisted dashboard page that search engines are asked not to index; no new data is collected by it.

Embedded posts

Some cards embed live posts from X, Threads, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube. Those platforms may set their own cookies and collect data per their own privacy policies when their embeds load.

Source screenshots

Cards for news articles and other non-embeddable sources show a screenshot preview of the linked page. Those previews are generated by third-party screenshot services (WordPress mShots and thum.io); when one loads, that service sees the article's URL and your IP address, the same as loading any image from another site.

Submissions and email

If you submit a use case or email [email protected], we receive whatever you send and use it only to run this directory. We never sell personal data — we barely collect any.
